Somerset State Basketball is the home of junior grassroots basketball across Somerset and the South West. We provide high quality coaching for boys and girls aged 7–17. We welcome everyone, from players picking up a ball for the first time, to experienced ballers looking to sharpen their game. Our sessions are built around a termly changing, curriculum-led topic learning, ensuring players develop the right skills, habits, and understanding at every stage of their journey. All within a fun, inclusive, and competitive environment.

With coaching centres in Midsomer Norton, Wells, Langport, and Weston Super Mare, our programmes are delivered by qualified, passionate coaches who place player development at the heart of everything we do. From our weekly coaching centres, players have the opportunity to be selected into our Somerset State All-Star Programme, where they represent Somerset State on a league stage, competing against teams in the West of England Basketball League. We also arrange coaching centre friendlies throughout the season. We hope to see you on the court soon!
